Attorney Karen A. Morris-Devine, Associate with Carter DeYoung, joined the firm in November 2017. She will practice in Civil Litigation and Criminal Law with a specialty in Divorce and Family Law.
Prior to joining Carter DeYoung, Attorney Morris-Devine was a sole practitioner of the Law Office of Karyn A. Morris-Devine where she focused on civil cases including housing and small claims, criminal law and, probate and family Court. While operating her firm, Attorney Morris-Devine gained extensive experience in family and probate law including divorce, alimony, division of assets and custody issues, estates, guardianships and paternity actions.
Attorney Morris-Devine has a history of helping the working families of Cape Cod. She routinely donates time with the Harwich Youth and Recreation Commission and is the Chairperson of the Harwich Youth Services Committee. Additionally, Attorney Devine serves as the Lawyer-of-the-Day in Barnstable County. She assists WE CAN, the non-profit organization that empowers women of all ages going through life-changing transitions, by providing pro-bono 1:1 services and consults.
Attorney Devine previously worked with South Coastal Counties Legal Services (SCCLS) as a law student intern. In this capacity, she regularly represented low income clients in numerous housing law cases, administrative law hearings and district court.
Attorney Karyn A. Morris-Devine is a cum laude graduate of the University of Massachusetts of Massachusetts at Amherst (2006) and a graduate of the University of Massachusetts School of Law at Dartmouth (2013). She was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2013.
