Attorney Nuzzolo earned her LLM in Taxation at Boston University Law School in 2002.  She graduated from Franklin Pierce Law (now known as University of New Hampshire Law School) in 2001 earning both Juris Doctor and Master of Intellectual Property degrees.  While attending law school, she participated and excelled in intellectual property based Moot Court competitions, trial advocacy competitions, she provided local court mediation services, and she participated in specialized intellectual property licensing programs.  Attorney Nuzzolo also interned at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where she negotiated intellectual property contracts with corporate partners on behalf of the university.  Attorney Nuzzolo graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern University in 1996 where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Criminal Justice.

After completing her education, Attorney Nuzzolo initially worked in the Boston area handling contractual and other transactional business legal matters in private practice and then she transitioned to work with high net worth clients at a large investment company in New York.  While working in New York, she earned her Series 7 Investment Advisor License (broker’s license) and provided complex business planning, investment planning, and tax planning and preparation to her clients.  Attorney Nuzzolo returned to private practice, joining Carter DeYoung (formerly Wilkins and DeYoung) in 2004 as an associate and became a partner in 2010.

Attorney Nuzzolo brings her financial, tax, and business experience and knowledge to transactional planning for both personal and business matters.  She also works to preserve her client’s legal rights regarding estate, trust, guardianship/conservatorship, and business litigation matters in and out of court with a focus to resolve disputes in a manner that best serves her clients, understanding that it is usually a family member, partner or other close relationship involved in the litigation matter, which can be emotional and difficult for clients.  Attorney Nuzzolo has also successfully pursued litigation in federal court for her clients, and she has defended judgments for cases in the Massachusetts Appeals Court.

When not spending time with her family, Attorney Nuzzolo contributes to her community by donating her time to WE CAN, a local non-profit company, where she offers legal consults to members of the community who lack financial resources for legal representation and she serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for The Laurel School in Brewster, Massachusetts.  Attorney Nuzzolo is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Cape Cod and the Barnstable Bar Association.  Attorney Nuzzolo has previously participated in local business seminars to promote and assist women in business, as well as previously participated and served as an officer for the Cape Cod Chapter of the ABWA.
